Absolutely beautiful bridesmaid updo by Amy R!! My hair style lasted the ENTIRE evening through dancing, high-humidity, and even a light sprinkle during the wedding (and my hair usually falls flat and frizzes within 2 seconds of stepping outside)!

I was admittedly a bit nervous to have my hair styled here since it seemed like they mostly specialized in cuts and color, but my nerves were quickly put at ease with how warm and diligent Amy was. I wanted an elegant "messy" bun look for a wedding, and I was blown away by Amy's attention to detail. It was clear she wanted my styled as perfect as I did— frequently checking-in for my feedback and if there was any pain from pins, asking to see my reference photo as needed, and making the tiniest trim to my bangs make sure they were symmetrical, all of which I greatly appreciated. I have never experienced such a thorough hair appointment in my life and I can't sing their praises enough. Thank you Amy for the wonderful styling!!

Fun, funky and EXCELLENT salon. I've been going to Shampoo since it first opened, and I love this locally owned and operated shop. The stylists are very skilled and creative, and really get to know you. I couldn't get in to see my usual stylist, but was really happy with the recommended stylist, who gave me great advice, and -- more importantly -- a great haircut!
Either the flagship Fairfield salon or it's younger sibling downtown on Johnson are fabulous!

This was my first visit to Shampoo Hair Bar. I would like to start by saying the desk staff were so lovely and knowledgeable when I made my appointment. They asked me a bunch of questions to help select the right stylist for my needs which lead me to the lovely Mel. Mel asked a lot of questions and really made sure she had an understanding of what I wanted....and she gave me my DREAM HAIR (which was a dark brown to red wine balayge)! I can tell she is very thorough (a perfectionist in the best way). My colour is gorgeous, her scalp massage was dreamy and she is a total sweetheart. And she is the queen of blow-outs!! I really appreciated the diversity of stylists and clientele at the salon. Great experience and I will definitely be booking with Mel again. Thanks Mel and other staff at Shampoo!

I've been getting haircuts from Danielle for about 2 years now and she's wonderful and lovely. I recently got a cut from Mick after Danielle was not available and they were awesome as well, especially considering I'm in the middle of growing my hair out from a super short cut and it was the first time they styled me. I've seen Mike at Shampoo regularly for a long time. He is an amazing human and hair stylist. I always leave Shampoo better in both hair and spirit than I come in. He's given me great long cuts, short cuts, medium cuts, subtle colour, and less subtle colour. If I were rich, I would pay him just to shampoo, condition, and style my hair every day. The staff at the salon is great and provide an awesome atmosphere. Whole-heartedly recommend.
