Best dining experience I’ve had in recent memory - not just in Winston Salem. Our server, Olivia was delightful and sweet and professional. The bread basket of their house made breads was mouth-watering. I had the lasagne and was pleasantly surprised. It was so good and was full of flavor. The Spicy Mango Margarita was a perfectly balance drink. Can’t wait to go back.

El lugar es lindo y acogedor, el servicio de la chica excelente y muy rápido, éramos los únicos en el lugar, la burrata muy buena la recomiendo a igual que el cóctel sin alcohol de mango con piña spicy delicioso… la pizza que lleva el nombre del lugar no me gustó mucho es muy normal, eso si muy económico! Por tanto recomendado para una cenita distinta ?

Went for brunch today and the shrimp and grits were absolutely fantastic I will be coming back for these and to try everything on this menu. Service was also top notch and it has a nice atmosphere as well. Do yourself a favor and give them a go.

Solidly good Italian food at reasonable prices. We were a bit skeptical because Winston-Salem does not have a shortage of decent Italian restaurants. We went on a Wednesday night, and were the only ones in the restaurant, so we still had our doubts. But this also allowed the waiter to be attentive, and he was. We had a few decent wines by the glass and started with a meatball appetizer that was quite good and exceeded our expectations. The entrées were not on the same par as the meatballs, but still very good. My wife finished her octopus salad, and my gnocchi was completely consumed as well. We took a miss on dessert as there was only one flavor of gelato, and I wasn’t in the mood for strawberry. But we thought it would be worth going back. The rest of the experience at Roar is a little bit odd on a Wednesday night, but the place has a lot of potential. I will be curious to see it on a weekend evening.

We made a reservation online and it was confirmed for 3, but when we got there we found out they’re actually closed from 3-5. The staff was so nice and understanding, and to our surprise they actually seated and served us anyway since the reservation had been confirmed. It seemed as though they really went out of their way to make sure we were able to enjoy their restaurant, and it meant a lot. Also the food was amazing.

I’m conflicted here. The food was absolutely delicious and not terribly expensive, but the service was frustrating. Our waitress was very nice, but we ended up with wrong / missing drinks, a forgotten main course, and long wait times for everything. Can’t say I’d go out of my way to recommend this one, but you could certainly do much worse.

It was OK. Food was tasty, however the menu differed greatly from what was on OpenTable. Our dinner also took incredibly long to come out. Apps were good, dinner was ok.

We had a last minute reservation, the management went above and beyond to work us in! When we arrived everyone was polite and did an amazing job of working us in. The food and service was awesome, not our first or last time to eat there
