This establishment was professional and honored all of our wishes! The funeral director walked me and my family through every step of the way as we had to make arrangements for my mother. I was extremely pleased with the work that he did. We asked for a horse and carriage transport and for my mother to be stopped in front of her house. Not only did we get what we asked for but he laid the Roses out on the street for my momma and it bought me and my sisters to tears. And I want to say thank you again Pastor Dodson for everything and providing us with quality services and treating my mom like a Queen even in death! This funeral home is an underdog in our city and deserves a fair chance! You won’t go wrong with J.L Dodson & Sons.

If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. This was the worst experience in my life during the worst time of my life. I would NOT RECOMMEND NO ONE USE THIS BUSINESSES ! The director stole money from us. We paid $1500 in cash and he calls the next day saying we only gave him $300. That’s $1200 CASH missing. But the director swears that’s all that was in the bag. Although me and my family counted it twice. So we had to give him another $1200 to just have services. He was extremely rude on top of many mistakes on my fathers death certificate. First they didn’t complete is middle name and on any federal documents you must put the complete name not just the initial. So that pushed the time of us receiving the death certificate. Once he made that correction and after another 2 weeks the death certificate comes back and it has my father birthdate incorrect. Like seriously! If he wasn’t so concerned about our personal lives maybe he could have done his job right. After almost 2 months we still don’t have the corrected death certificate still can not handle my fathers affairs! Very unprofessional! ZERO STARS!
