Best Chippy in town and lowest prices around! The food is always hot and freshly cooked in front of you. The staff always greet you with a smile, and the service is at its top. Love the fish, chips, peas, and curry, but the menu is wide and offers all the traditional chippy meals. Holland's pies on display, heated up properly and not by microwave. Inside the shop is also very clean and the smell very appetising, you can tell they fry in clean fresh oil. It's not just recommended, but UNMISSABLE if you are in Clitheroe! ?

I stayed here for rent in October November and I froze from the cold at two degrees in a house without heat full of moisture and mold, I also stayed this year July August unfortunately, I will never step foot in this greedy individual named Abul. This guy who charged me £110 a week to rent with no utilities, no washing machine, no hot water, no wardrobe, this man should be avoided at all costs and his food from Fish and Chips is horrible , this character is stingy and lacks personal hygiene (he has the same pair of sneakers since 2019) inhuman conditions to live here, I got asthma, please avoid this place as much as possible !

Great fish and chips of the traditional nature. Only haddock on offer as a fish option but it was delicious! Northern England favourite, potato scallops also available, if you haven't tried one you really should! Highly recommended.

My wife and I go to this chippy when we have a drive to Clitheroe but we haven't been for a while due to the after effects of Covid. This used to be the highlight, alas no more.. Not at all cheap, Steak Puddings X 2 £2,40 each and a large portion of chips a staggering £3.60. I always say if the food is good it can make up for the price but the chips were terribly undercooked and a couple were hard in the middle..My wife said the man was extremely pleasant which is nice but it doesn't make up for those dreadful half raw potatoes, N.W.

Tuesday 12th April 2022.

Decided to have traditional Fish & Chips today, after reading through the many reviews.

Two fish cooked fresh whilst we waited. 2 x portion of chips, a carton of peas and gravy.

Headed back to West Bradford to dine at home.

The fish was absolutely beautiful but the chips, I've never had chips like it. Too thick and very bland, I'm glad I ordered gravy for the chips to try and add some flavour.

If I had stuck just with the fish and mushy peas I'd have given the Chippy 5*

Just an amazing local chippy that’s steeped in history.
The food was amazing, coming home after a long day we were craving a chippy tea. We weren’t disappointed either. The fish is so fresh, was battered in front of our very eyes and then fried. Chips were actually good old fashioned chips and not the knock off frozen American fries. For the veggies out there, yes the gravy is veggie and it’s amazing on the chips. The menu is actually quite varied and they do a lot lot more than just the standard fish and chips, but alas we’ll have to experiment a bit next time.
The current owners also knows a lot about the history and traditions of the shop that dates back well over 100 years.
