When I arrived here, I felt I was in the right place. The nurses and doctors were super friendly, and something that I liked was the way they do it so that the children feel confident and above all, explaining each step of what they are going to do so that they are not afraid. Well, in my case it was a CT Scan and it seemed super excellent. Doctors willing to resolve any concerns you may have.

Never want to take your 14mo old to the ER but if I have to again we’ll know where to go next time! From registration on we encountered people that were kind and helpful. Madeline T. took good care of us and was so kind in bringing toys and bubbles to distract our little one. (And extra bubbles when dad broke the first thing!). You could tell the doc had been in the pediatric setting a while and was great at explaining what was going on and not just ordering a bunch of tests or imaging as I feel has become so unnecessarily common in healthcare these days!!

I have only visited the fourth floor with the mental health services but I have been there about 10 times.
The waiting area is fairly large with a decent amount of magazines. The TV plays Disney channel as expected.
It has been my experience that they are always running whims their appointment times.
Ladies at the front desk are nice and helpful.
There is a snack bar in the first floor and a pharmacy.

First off, let me say that Dr. Malik is great and the deduction of stars is in no way a reflection of any medical care my child has received. And usually, the front desk at the general pediatric clinic are great too. I have no clue who checked me in today and why they were the way that they were, but the general way they handled my situation was completely without caring or grace and I felt it should be noted. I did arrive late to my 12 month well visit and that is my fault, but, I was marked as no show as I was in the lobby waiting behind other patients to be checked in. Had the person checking me in cared even in the slightest about the fact that these appointments are extreme hard to get and sometimes people are doing their absolute best, then I guarantee that we would’ve been seen. But, since this was not the case and I seemed to be more of an irritant than anything else - I was told “too bad, so sad” in less words. Grace/empathy and a little bit of courtesy do go a very long way. Anyways, I will not be returning because the front desk is the face of a business - and if the front desk says “I don’t care” then that’s likely the mindset of the rest of the business.

Got a referal for one of my twins to get checked by neurosurgery to get checked for plagiocephaly and brachycephaly. Dr. Trumble then issued us prescriptions for cranial tech for the helmets. But cranial tech wanted the DOBs to be on the prescriptions to proceed further. This is where issues arises. Cranial tried contacting Dr. Trumble and his team but they were unresponsive, so they told us to contact him. We used the app to reach out the communication was very slow and took forever to get the prescriptions for the twins. At first cranial didnt receive them, so we contacted baylor scott again, second time, they only sent one prescription instead of both for the twins, third time they finally did it but Dr. Trumble and his team only denied the insurance claim for one of the twins, and we need both denial letters for our insurance so we can get accepted through this medical grant. Its been two months that treatment for the twins heads has been delayed because of baylor scott. The slow communication is unacceptable, especially when the twins heads need treatment before it gets more difficult to fix. They were seen at 5 months and now they are 7 months old. Our family and cranial tech has been soley waiting for Baylor scott end to proceed their treatment.

Scheduling staff directly in the office are extremely cold, unkind, and lacking of all empathy. Purposefully misunderstanding to rude and very untimely scheduling. My child’s SEVERE diagnosis’s is being treated as routine and non urgent and must wait 3+ months for a consult for a much needed surgery that would allow my child to breathe. There’s zero concern whatsoever for my child’s condition. The neurologist said it was urgent, ent office staff says it is not. I just know my child stops breathing more than she actually breathes at night and I am scared. Absolutely terrified. But the office manager says this is the very best she can do is treat her as non urgent and that even if the appointment was listed as urgent, she’d still be treated as non urgent. I’m gonna put in in Gods hands at this point because you can’t argue with people who don’t care. Dr. Pinkston though has been amazing with my other child and is the only reason I’m going to continue to pray he has a sooner opening. I am extremely concerned though about my child’s condition waiting months for treatment when it’s her breathing that’s the issue. And lastly, even bad news can be delivered well. Attitude makes all the difference. Nothing was delivered well and they couldn’t have sounded more bothered.

This is a very special hospital for this area. The needs for our children is a very much priority. The McLane children's hospital is known throughout the area. Also had a Ronald McDonald house close by for the family's long term assistance. Take time, see, hear what they do. Especially see the laughs and smiles of the children. Feel the blessings that has been given here. 5 ⭐'s rating for the Doctors and Nurses that work here. Any to all that supports this Hospital.

Horribly inefficient Clinic, took us 9 months to get a ABR test scheduled. Constantly cancel appointments short notice usually couple hours prior to appointment. Finally get the test done they went ahead and molded hearing aid that would be needed(great) scheduled us for a appointment 2 months later(told this is to get the hearing aids) check in at the front desk they say it's for a hearing test. Why would we need another hearing test? Then it turned into a this is what the hearing aids do and what color would you like. Why wasn't this done 2 months ago? Why do people need to take off work to chose a color and be sent home? This is a phone call/email not wait 2 months to pick a color. Now we are waiting for them to recheck insurance (again something that could have been done 2 months ago) now we wait for the hearing aid to be ordered hopefully this is our last appointment here.
